Have any of you ever been to the St. Anthony Sand Dunes in the winter? It is the funnest thing. I was having a pretty "blah" day. When we started the day it looked like we would just sit around the house. A good friend, reached out to us and asked if we wanted to go see the Civil Defense caves. We got Kate to come along with us. We drive out and pass the Sand Dunes. When we got to the start of the trail to the caves it said they were closed. We were pretty bummed but we decided to go sledding. We were not prepared in the least, I mean... It was 20 degrees out and we were losing daylight. Kate had some homework to do so we dropped her off, rented some sleds, bought some gloves and hats, and we were on our way back to the Sand Dunes. I had no idea they were so close to where we are!
