The other night as I was studying the scriptures, I read a verse of scripture that really struck me. 1 Nephi 18:9. It is the story of Lehi's family on the boat to the promised land. It talked about how Laman, Lemuel, and others started to make themselves merry and "speak with much rudeness". I had never really thought much about this scripture other than it just being another part to the story. But in the moment I read it last night I had the distinct thought that I needed to delete my Instagram and Facebook account and start a family blog. I have noticed recently that I have spent so much time on these social media platforms just scrolling looking for funny videos. A lot of these videos have "much rudeness" in them... To put it lightly. I thought of how those things drive away the Spirit. For Lehi's family it caused a storm that drove them back upon the waters. I knew I needed to do it but part of me was sad because I really love keeping up with people. However, I also realize this is a prompting from a Heavenly Father who loves me and desires me to improve. Not to mention I really want to have the Spirit with me as much as possible. I have been really troubled lately by the lack of time I have to be creative, journal, and go do fun things with Monson. I know that deleting those things is going to help me have more time to do the things I want to do. Scrolling through social media is not a good use of time for me and it fills my mind with things I wish weren't there. I am excited to see where this is going to go! Monson and I hope this will inspire us to go on adventures and seek for what truly matters in life! Adventures await! - Katie McKay

It is so nice to live close to family. It is fun to be involved in the traditions we grew up loving. When we lived in Rexburg we had to sacrifice a lot of those things. Monso...
